VETERANS MAY NOW PLAY QUANTICO’S MEDAL OF HONOR GOLF COURSE

A waiver to a Marine Corps Order now allows all Honorably Discharged Veterans the privilege of playing Marine Corps Base Quantico’s historic Medal of Honor Golf Course.  The privilege was formerly offered only to active duty and retired military, but now all who serve(d) honorably in service to their country may play the course.

Veterans are asked to provide veteran status documentation (DD 214) on their initial visit to the Pro Shop.  Their names will then be entered into a database for easy access on future visits.  Veterans may call the Pro Shop for a weekday tee time up to four days in advance, and after 0900 on Thursdays for upcoming weekends and holidays.  Veterans may sponsor up to three civilian guests. Veterans’ groups are invited to plan golf outings for their members by contacting the Pro Shop at 703-784-2424 or 2463.

The Medal of Honor Golf Course is located aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico. Golfers enter the main gate, off I-95 / exit 150 A. Players must show a picture ID (VA driver’s license) to the Sentry at the gate, and indicate that they are going to the golf course.  The entrance to the Medal of Honor Golf Course is on Fuller Road, 1.5 miles from the main gate on the left side of the road.
