News
September
was full of fun at your Post Home. We had oysters on the half shell from
the bay thanks to Dennis and his helper Dewitt. The Picnic was an
overwhelming success. Lots of food and fun were had by all. I would like
to thank our cooks Bobby, Rodney and Jim; Dewitt for running the beer
table and Dennis for running the horse shoe tournament. Also thanks to
everyone that helped set up and take everything down. Everyone did a
wonderful job. I can't forget Alan Amos at his table selling Legion items
and of course our ABC managers Helen, Betty, and Linda for all their help.
Last and not least a special thanks to Sam Ramseur (Sammie Do) for putting
all of this together for us.
Wendy and Laura's good bye party was a lot of fun. Best wishes to them
both.
Locker dues are due on January 1st. Pay your ABC Manager and don't forget
to put your locker # and name on the envelope. I will not know who to give
the credit to if you do not tell me. Locker dues not paid by January 31st
will be emptied and if you want a locker after that, your name will be
placed on a waiting list.
We have a new list behind the bar for birthdays. If you add your name,
will have a little cake and sing "Happy Birthday" to you.
Don't forget to visit our website. Ray Harrigan works hard on all the
upcoming functions. Ray also takes many pictures from all of our functions
and lets everyone enjoy the fun.
Have a great holiday season.

NASCAR
With the
season winding down, all I hear is Dewitt talking about getting passed by
a dog!! Bernie is holding onto #1 and Brad is extremely upset about
winning a race. Ann's Mr Wiggles is in 2nd and keeping Dewitt at bay.
The end of season NASCAR party will be on Saturday, 3 December. Social
hour will be at 6:00 p.m. and we will have a steak (cooked to order) after
7:00. NASCAR Club members may bring one non-member per team. Set aside
that date.
