Congratulations members: Thanks to your support and hard work, the
post has had a banner year. We have increased our membership, improved our
bottom line, continued our upgrade of the Post home and grounds, and
localized our community out-reach and support efforts to name a few.
To those on the outside it may appear that all of our efforts are centered
on the clubhouse and/or social quarters, and to be truthful, that portion
of our post is the most visible to our members and by its nature commands
a great deal of attention. It is our biggest source of revenue and the
revenue it produces allows us to do the great things we have done and
continue to do with our donations to support our veterans and their
families.
The following awards were presented to Post 162 at the
17th District Conference held on June 3, 2007, for 2006 and
2007 calendar year, in the medium post (200-499) category:

Post Newsletter awarded 3rd place in Department of Virginia Competition
And our own Bill 'Strawberry' Strawsburg was sworn in as 17th District
